Reading and Writing: What does it mean?

The definition of reading as I understand it is listening and understanding what the writer is trying to tell you. Harris talked about how when you are reading you need to essentially absorb the reading. Do not stop till you understand what the writer is trying to say to you so you may use it in your future works.

Writing is a demonstration of what you know and using what you know to make a new work and move an idea forward. Harris talks about moving forward and countering in your writing. This means understanding what was said and adding to it. You can discuss what you believe is right and elaborate or argue what you don’t agree with.
